Sustainable Performance @ Prince Claus Conservatoire 17/18
The physical and mental health of the performer is the main topic of Sustainable Performance. The goal is to support the playing, being able to prevent major problems and learning something one can use the rest of her/his life.
Open to ALL students of PCC
When: thursdays 11-12, room 2-13
(exept Tai Chi is on wednesdays, jogging thursday evenings)
Tiziana Pintus mental coach (and professional violonist) 8 sessions
Rike Hesselink fysiotherapist (with a large experience working with musicians) 7 sessions
Irthe Engelhard Feldenkrais (teacher at Conservatory of Amsterdam, former dancer) 2 sessions of 3 hours
11:00-12:00=grouplesson, 12:00-13:00 and 13:00-14:00 private lesson or with max 3 people
Jan Douma sportcoach 2 x 5 running sessions (thursday evenings!)
It is very different to go jogging with a sportcoach, than just on yourself..
AVS-dieticians 2 lessons given by specialists on food & sport
What to eat before a peak performance or during uncomfortable situations (dry, hot, cold rehearsal- concertplaces)
Fie Schouten anatomy 2 lessons
This can be very functional for the other lessons, especially the series of fysiotherapist, the feldenkrais and the mental coaching.

I am (bass) clarinetist and professor bass clarinet at the Prince Claus Conservatoire. I studied for 2 years Study of human movement at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and I followed a lot of lessons (group and private) with Irthe Engelhard at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam during my (bass) clarinet-studies there.
